Works in Progress

I don't know why it happens, but there I am working away on a picture and I get so engrossed I don't realize the progress I have made. I decided to stop every few hours and take pictures as a visual documentary of how things evolve. It is a lesson in itself. Step back and view the bigger picture. The other thing that has amazed me about taking photos of the process is that I see things I want to change in the photos of my work rather than in the ' live version'. It is fascinating. Any time I have a "Hmmmmm something is not right" moment, I step back and take a picture. Et voila! something on the paper is inevitably staring back at me and saying "Hey! I need a bit more shading please" (yup they are all polite requests:-))

So, without further ado let me introduce you to Star. A former feral beauty who learned to love the indoor world with a lot of love from her patient guardians.

I tried to keep this baby girl's ear a secret until the end but there you have it in all its glory in picture two. Wild! I have never seen one like this before.
I have finished Star now but I just want to get the final seal of approval from Star's Momma so I can post her here.

Finished Star. Hmmm may need to get a better camera.:-)
